This is a 14-year-old Islay single malt, unpeated, bottled at 51.9% ABV. It was matured in European oak and finished in ex-sherry casks. This whisky offers a full body and intricate layers of flavor. Aroma: Hints of sea salt, dark fruit, honey, and vanilla, alongside stone fruits, chocolate, and spices. Taste: A sherry-forward experience! Sweetness, biscuit notes, bright green apple, citrus, and a mild smokiness. Apricots and toffee are balanced by zesty ginger and cinnamon. Finish: Extended and resonant, with traces of sherry and peppery notes. Caramel and vanilla, with dark chocolate. A superb single cask Sherry bomb from an independent bottler; I'm delighted with it!
