Eboni Major, previously with Diageo's Bulleit Distilling Co., blended this bourbon from Dread River Distilling Co. in Birmingham, Alabama. It marks the initial release in the brand's Master Series, composed of two Kentucky straight bourbons, one from October 2017 and the other from January 2019. The spirit is bottled at 100 proof and was available for pre-sale on Dread River's website from January 2023 at a suggested retail price of $114.99.

Quite happy with this. It's balanced, intricate, smooth, with intriguing notes of mint and black tea layered over red fruit and a hint of vanilla. I anticipated more burn from the 100 proof but was instead met with refinement. An excellent debut for Dread River’s Master Series, and kudos to Eboni Major.
