Dr. McGillicuddy's Blackberry Whiskey

This is the first of three Dr. McGillicuddy's I'm trying tonight. My hopes are high! The aroma: wow, the blackberry. It's somewhere between cough syrup and jam, and I'm leaning towards jam. The body: actually, this is cough syrup. The finish: nonexistent. This is not good. Perhaps for mixing?
