Dettling Cask Strength Single Barrel Bourbon (57 Months)

Aroma presents rich vanilla, maple syrup, coffee, dark chocolate, and cherry. The palate and finish are thick with a sweet woodiness at first, followed by chocolate and espresso, reminiscent of tiramisu. Notes of vanilla, cherry, and dark fruit are also detectable. A very distinct and unique oak influence unlike anything experienced before. The finish is long and complex, with oak, abundant chocolate, vanilla, and earthy tobacco.

The aroma offers faint cherry or berry alongside something else. Possibly coffee, possibly dark cocoa (75%+). The taste echoes these notes, with added nutty characteristics and slight dryness. The finish is of moderate duration, with a touch of spice. Intriguing.

Very complex. Notes of cocoa nibs, strong tobacco, a hint of sweetness, dry and mellow flavor followed by a hot finish.

Abundant caramel, toffee, and brown sugar, complemented by plenty of ripe and sweet red fruits.
