Tonya Reeder 5.0

A wonderful whisky, thoroughly enjoyable. It embodies Dalmore's philosophy. Matured exclusively in first-fill Matusalem sherry casks, it provides a fantastic sensory experience on the nose and palate. As expected from Dalmore, it is very sweet, offering a delightful experience. Priced at $106, it's the most expensive in the 'fortune meritas' collection, originally intended for travel retail alongside Valour, Regalis, and Luceo. Bottled at 43% ABV, it has a beautiful mahogany color. The aroma was magnificent, feeling special from the start and evoking images of a Turkish spice market. Notes of beautiful toffee, old dried oranges, candied fruits, and fig syrup are incredible! Thick orange marmalade and dried dates. Simply perfect. The palate is highly enjoyable, with amazing milk chocolate, well-balanced herbal spiciness, butterscotch, and delicious cocoa. Molasses, dark rum, and cognac are also present, with a slight nuttiness. The aftertaste is slightly spicy but very well-balanced, perhaps with notes of clove or ginger, and a subtle hint of burnt oak. Overall, this exceptional dram is highly recommended. I believe it would be a great addition to any bar, always ready for a sip. A perfect score, this is how whisky should be - a truly enjoyable, not overly complex, but delicious experience. Cheers!

While it drinks like liquid silk, this spirited whisky offers subtle flavors and robust spices. It sets a standard for what a daily sipping whisky should be.

Lots of Dalmore at the start. Short on the finish.
