(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, November 19, 2022). Aroma: Lemon polish, fruit/berries, wood shavings, sherry influence. Taste: Fresh berries, cherries, nutty, cooking spices, light char/smoke, hints of peat, toffee/penny caramel. Finish: Medium-long finish. Sherry notes, dried fruit, light hints of peat smoke, sour cherries. 1 of 3,000 bottles produced worldwide. 15ppm. Fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks. Very sweet and sherry-driven, the peat is noticeable but very much in the background. Easy to drink, sweet, and sherry-forward, but it lacks some of the complexity I've come to expect from Cù Bòcan. A decent little dram. It came fourth out of the six drams, receiving 3% of the final vote for favorite of the night. 65% of those present indicated they enjoyed the whisky.
