This is a fascinating take on Crystal Head Vodka: a vodka that naturally has a subtle tequila flavor. It's very smooth, so you can enjoy it neat or on the rocks. I wouldn't recommend it for cocktails unless using very delicate flavors. It won't replace your go-to vodka or tequila, but it's definitely worth trying if you enjoy both.

About this bottle
Crystal Head Onyx, the third permanent offering from the brand, utilizes Blue Weber agave from a single Mexican farm. Distilled in Newfoundland using glacial water, the vodka is filtered through Herkimer diamonds. It is presented in the company's distinctive skull-shaped bottle, finished in a gloss black.

Sweet and smooth - unlike a typical vodka. Very mellow, not a heavy spirit and no burn. The aftertaste is slightly fruity. The aroma suggests tequila but the taste is quite different. Not a replacement for your vodka, but very good for something a bit unusual. That said, I'm a big supporter of this brand.
Smells of earthy citrus and pure agave. The palate highlights the agave's sweetness and the pureness of the Newfoundland water. It finishes with a sweet chili flavor that transitions into a smooth, distinct end.
