Nose: Delightfully combines caramel, oak, and vanilla, evoking a cherry cola aroma that makes my mouth water. A subtle hint of peanut is also present. Body: Medium to full. Palate: Features cinnamon red hots, oak, vanilla, and cherry, closely following the nose. Finish: Medium to long, lacking smokiness but offering a pleasant lingering blend of cinnamon and cherry. Note: I took a chance on this 14-year-old Rutledge whiskey, thanks again to a friend at 1010. It's a truly refined bourbon, perhaps a bit more robust than another well-known brand due to its age and proof; exceptionally solid and good.
