Stuart Colbert 3.3

(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, 05 March 2021). Nose: Bready, caramelized fruit, slightly acetone Palate: Toasted/charred oak, banana bread, smoke/char, stout and dark beer Finish: Lightly smoked, long finish, stone & tropical fruit, burnt orange. There's a subtle BBQ note in the aftertaste. Slightly herbal. It has a substantial body with a light waxiness. The spirit is prominent. It leaves a slightly drying sensation on the finish. It's unusual to find such a refined and elegant whisky with minimal cask influence. This highlights the quality of the spirit compared to what seems to be a rather inactive cask. Bourbon Hogshead Cask Cask No: 5 Distilled: 11-09-2002 Bottled: 14-09-2020 1 of 277 bottles It tied for fourth place out of the six whiskies, receiving 11% of the votes for the evening's favorite. 57% of attendees indicated they enjoyed the whisky.
