I picked this up on a whim because of clever advertising, anticipating the distillery's own releases. It's a sourced bourbon, and I must admit, despite my initial doubt, it's a really good one. The aroma is inviting, full of oak, molasses, and spice. It has a well-balanced body that swirls in the glass, showing off nice legs. The flavor is excellent. Sweet oak and vanilla lead, followed by warming spices in the finish that doesn't overstay its welcome. At 105 proof, it's a fantastic sipper with classic bourbon character that won't overwhelm the palate. Nicely done.
