Announced on March 3, 2021, this commemorative bottling honors the 124th anniversary of the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, a consumer protection law championed by Col. Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. to ensure whiskey integrity. This single barrel was distilled at Buffalo Trace on January 5, 2012, and bottled in early February 2021. It will not be available for retail purchase but exclusively through musician Chris Stapleton's Outlaw State of Kind charitable fund. Initial bottles will be auctioned for disaster relief in Texas and Eastern Kentucky, with subsequent bottles supporting various charities nationwide throughout the year.

The aroma has that pleasant whiskey spice, but upon tasting, it's surprisingly very smooth initially until you swallow or let it linger on your tongue for a moment, at which point that gentle burn announces its presence.
Beautiful Bottled-in-Bond, enjoyed at Libby’s in Covington. The food was great, and the pour of EHT was phenomenal.
Slightly hotter than I anticipated for a 100 proof spirit.
Notes of vanilla and a subtle oak presence. Extremely smooth and easy to drink.
