Cold Spell Intense Mint Whiskey

Whether it's a Mojito, Mint Julep, Whiskey Smash, or even a Grasshopper, mint and alcohol have long been a delightful combination. So, upon purchasing my latest bottle, I was intrigued when the person at the counter suggested Cold Spell Intense Mint Whiskey. I typically avoid flavored whiskeys, and I must admit, this is no exception. The aroma is reminiscent of Crest Complete Whitening Plus Scope Dual Blast and a premium vintage of Listerine Cool Mint. It smells more like a dental office than a whiskey. The palate offers a mint flavor that is far from intense, with no discernible alcohol and a sugar content comparable only to Pixy Stix. If you're seeking an overpriced mouthwash that causes cavities rather than prevents them, this might be the product for you. However, if flavored whiskey is your preference, I strongly advise you to disown your citizenship and become a solitary hermit on a desert island. Your kind are not welcome here.

Note: I don't care for flavored whiskey or mint. The nose smells like mint toothpaste. The flavor is weak whiskey, sweetness, and a fairly balanced amount of mint. I genuinely anticipated this would be overwhelming mint, but it's more like a hint of mint.

This isn't a whiskey for every day. It's enjoyable to drink and share. It has a refreshing mint taste that you'll appreciate.

Certainly not a premium whiskey, but it can be excellent as a mixer. A very pronounced mint flavor.
