Chestnut farms single barrel bourbon

Chestnut Farms 8-Year-Old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon is an excellent, refined, cask strength, non-chill filtered Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Barton 1792 Distillery. It was crafted by Master Distiller Danny Khan using water from the Tom Moore Spring, aged for 8 years in American white oak barrels, and bottled at 62.5% ABV (125 Proof). Its aroma begins with notes of grain, dark fruit, wood, and spices. The palate is balanced, offering notes of cocoa, rye spice, oak, and toasted almonds. It concludes with a long, warm finish featuring notes of rye. Sampled in November 2022.

Nose: fruitcake, vanilla, and scorched caramel. Palate: spices for baking, toasted or woody notes, vanilla, oak, tobacco, and a hint of caramel.
