Essie Rivero 4.8

The aroma is sweet, with honey and hay appearing right away, alongside oak and barley. It's very rich and fresh, showcasing an interesting combination. It's a "teaspoon" blend, meaning the majority is Glenfiddich, with a small addition of a second Scotch. The palate is dry and easy to drink, coating the mouth with honey, hay, and barley. A subtle spice eventually reaches the sides of the mouth with a bit of chewiness. It's impressively full-bodied without being overwhelming, considering its age and cask strength. This is simplicity at its finest. The finish is medium in length with lingering spice and hay, the sweetness fading to reveal stronger notes. This is absolutely outstanding and will be sorely missed.
