Aroma: Old wood, honey, pleasantly peaty and inviting. Entry: Fresh and light, transitioning quickly to the mid-palate. Mid-palate: Some subtle fruit notes, with the cask strength of traditional Caol Ila apparent, offering a more medicinal character. Finish: Brief and smooth, leaving a lingering smoky flavor reminiscent of a smoky BBQ bite. It's less medicinal than Ardbeg Oogy.
