The third Feis Ile sample tonight offers a wonderful caramel aroma, similar to a popular ice cream brand. It's enjoyable neat, but a few drops of water reveal the peat. The finish is a lingering blend of peat and honey. I'd rate this 4.5/5, making it tied for my second favorite out of eight.

About this bottle
Released for the 2017 Islay Festival, this 12-year-old single malt Scotch whisky concludes its maturation in Amoroso sherry casks. While Caol Ila's usual practice is to finish their expressions in Moscatel wine, this bottling utilizes sherry casks often employed for Talisker's Distillers Edition. A total of 1500 bottles were produced.

Very similar to the usual Distillers Edition. Therefore, a good dram, if a little overpriced.
It's good, but not exceptional; I anticipated more from the green label.
