Prepare yourself when drinking this—it's very spicy on the tongue with a long, prickly finish that literally made sweat break out on my nose. It's not unpleasant, but it's surprising for a non-peated malt. Unfortunately, the intensity masked any more subtle tastes and insights the dram might have offered. It's a massive contrast to the 25-year-old, even though they are the same price.
