About this bottle
Released in 2006 as part of the inaugural experimental whiskey series from Buffalo Trace, this bourbon is derived from BT Rye Mash #2, distilled and barreled in April 1993. Following eight years and eight months in new, charred American oak, the whiskey was transferred to a second, brand-new American oak cask, with both casks featuring a #4 char. Only one barrel was produced. After a total of twelve years of maturation, accounting for 19.25% evaporation, it was bottled at 45% ABV in February 2006. This release is available in 375ml bottles.
