About this bottle
Released in 2006, this experimental whiskey was one of three barrels in Buffalo Trace's initial series. Made from BT Rye Mash #1, it was distilled and barreled in April 1995. Instead of American oak, French oak that had been air-dried for twenty-four months and given a #3 char was used for the single barrel. Following ten years of aging and 39% evaporation, the barrel was emptied in February 2006 and bottled at 45% ABV. This expression is sold in 375ml containers.
