About this bottle
The Experimental Collection showcases some of Buffalo Trace's whiskey production research and development. The bourbons in this experimental series undergo a souring process before yeast is added to initiate fermentation, unlike most contemporary bourbons which use a small quantity of setback from a prior batch for souring. This particular bourbon is aged for thirteen years and entered into the barrel at 105 proof, compared to its counterpart bottled at 125 proof entry. Both are finished at 90 proof.
