About this bottle

The Warenghem family established their distillery in France's Brittany region in 1900. Driven by a connection to Celtic culture shared with Ireland and Scotland, and a goal to create the first Breton and French whisky, they debuted their first blend in 1987 and a single malt in 1998. This expression, first released in 2009, is a double-distilled blend of 50% malt and 50% grain, produced in copper stills and aged in oak casks. It is bottled at 42% ABV.

The aroma initially seems a bit like soap before revealing prominent caramel and spice. The palate has a mild spice and is generally quite smooth. The finish is sweet and brief.
