About this bottle

The Reserves 2025 is an annual limited-edition series by 8th generation Master Distiller Freddie Noe to honor his grandfather, 6th generation Master Distiller Booker Noe. For this second release, Freddie selected barrels that had a prior history. These barrels previously held Booker's 30th Anniversary Bourbon. Afterward, they were transported to Jalisco, Mexico, to age El Tesoro 85th Anniversary Extra Añejo Tequila. The barrels then returned to Clermont, Kentucky, to complete a batch of Booker's Bourbon. It has been aged for 8 years, 10 months, and 11 days, and is bottled at 123.5 proof. This marks the first time a product within the Beam portfolio has been finished in tequila barrels. The Reserves 2025 will be available nationwide starting September 2025. (SRP $129.99)

I have mixed feelings on this one. I love my Booker's. This one is unconventional with the Tequila finish. You still get the Booker's nuttiness and heat. If I did a blind, I probably wouldn't peg this as a $130 bottle.
