About this bottle

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2025-01, named "Barry's Batch," honors the late Barry Berish, former Beam Chairman & CEO and a close friend to Booker and Fred Noe. This is the first US batch release from Booker's in 2025. The batch was produced on four separate dates and stored across five warehouses. It has been aged for 7 years, 2 months, and 4 days and is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 125.7 proof (62.85% ABV). It will be available nationwide starting March 2025, with an MSRP of $99.99.

Aroma presents buttery oak, baking spices, leather, and black tea. The palate is quite pleasing, featuring the signature dry peanut flavor of Booker's as its base, with hints of fennel seed and toasted oak, and a slightly oily texture. Adding a small ice cube truly enhances this pour. The flavors then bloom into notes of oak, warm vanilla, and dark cocoa. While ice/water diminishes the pleasant oiliness, it yields a more vibrant and accessible drink. Possibly my favorite Booker's batch since a past favorite, Kathleens batch.

I had forgotten to review this one from when I first tried it in May... it just slipped my mind! However, tonight, I did a blind comparison between the "Master Distiller's" 2024-03, "By The Pond" 2025-02, and this "Barry's" 2025-01 Batches.... Barry's performed equally with the Master Distiller's, tying for 1st place. That's all I have to say! 4.0 stars.

This is truly the finest batch of Booker's I've experienced in ages. I've been drinking them since 2013. It surpasses country ham, Kentucky tea, and all the highly sought-after bottles from before. This is genuine, rich, sweet Kentucky Bourbon. With hardly any of the usual peanut shell notes. It's fantastic.

This is quite good. I detect and smell peanuts, and they harmonize perfectly with the spices – cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg. The finish is not the best, but it's surprisingly more mellow than some other releases. Best wishes to you! Happy 23rd!

Obviously it hits hard from the Glencarn, however nice flavor and aroma. But when you go for seconds, on a cube, the flavors open up like Niagara Falls!!! Absolutely amazing. Just wish I had a cigar to accompany it!!! Cheers 🥃

Sweet with some heat and complexity. Baking spices and caramel are very prominent. Perhaps a splash of water to enhance and calm the flavors.
