The nose is full of charred oak, peanuts, leather, smoke, vanilla, and brown sugar. It's very bold at first but quickly becomes very dessert-like. It's very inviting and seems familiar, leading me to suspect it's from Heaven Hill. The palate is dry yet chewy, filling the mouth with a strong peppery flavor backed by charred oak and vanilla. Leather and smoke provide balance. The finish is long, leaving the mouth tingling with a pleasant pepperiness as sweeter notes fade into the background. This is far too simple for its price. I regret buying it immediately.
