About this bottle

Luxco's Blood Oath Bourbon Pact 2, launched in spring 2016, follows the initial Blood Oath blended bourbon from the prior year. Pact 2 combines three distinct bourbons: a 7-year-old rye bourbon with a port finish, an 11-year-old wheated bourbon, and an 11-year-old rye bourbon, all matured in new, charred American oak barrels. Blood Oath is a series of limited edition Kentucky straight bourbons featuring different "pacts" or variations.

Luka Garay 4.3

The aroma is vibrant and sugary, carrying hints of caramelized sugar and citrus zest. On the palate, it's smooth yet rich with taste, featuring a slight warmth. Further orange sweetness and a touch of spice. A gentle smokiness lingers on the medium-short finish.

Israel Wilkerson 3.5

Nose: Sweet brown sugar and orange oil. Like an old fashioned with lingering ethanol Palate: Thick brown sugar and orange peel turn into baking spice and oak Finish: Unmemorable lingering oak that is very drying

Haleigh Rea 4.0

I gave this 3.5/5 because I don't like it as much as Batch 1, and this bottle really improves with age. UPDATE... 2-14-18 IT OPENS UP REALLY WELL and only gets better with time😁😁😁😁 but I preferred Batch 1.

Archie Kay 4.8

Aroma: Vanilla, caramel, ginger, milk chocolate Taste: Cinnamon, baking spices, spun sugar, plums, smoke Finish: Deep smoke, caramel, crispy rice, sweet corn, spices

Johnny Ponce 3.0

Bitter. Didn’t enjoy it. Sort of like an expensive version of that other brand. I'm a fan of that distillery's products, but this is terrible. Don't waste your money.

Suzette Patten 4.0

Appearance: light roasted sugar Nose: orange liqueur, almonds, and chives Taste: orange, vanilla, cinnamon, and lemon tea
