The nose truly delivers the potent "cask strength," woody with a little floral hint. The entry is extremely powerful but not unpleasant, quite the opposite: the alcohol gives way to an explosion of flavors!! Toasted wood, honey, a touch of vanilla... Excellent!!! But very, very powerful with a very long finish (I know it's cask strength but still) An EXCELLENT whisky!!! (Purchased during happy hour)

Take your time, add water, and you will be greatly rewarded! It's complex and interesting. Young, fresh, and bold. The aroma is sweet, smoky, briny with some herbal notes. On the palate, dark chocolate with sea salt, cinnamon, peppery, oaky. Even with water added, it still packs a punch. It coats the mouth and has a medium to long finish with pleasant mocha notes. A malt with integrity and significant character. Avoid if you only prefer smooth blended spirits.:)
This particular bottling was not sampled. Aroma: Caramel? Sherry is certainly present. It has a slight bourbon-like smell? Body: Significant sherry presence, a robust body with abundant flavor, peat is less pronounced. Finish: Moderately warm, medium in length. I desire more peat for this.
Aroma - sweet, caramel notes with a hint of smoke. Palate - full, oily texture. Spicy arrival with fruity flavor. Finish - medium with subtle peat and unusual medicinal herbs. Very intriguing!
Smoky with a touch of fruit and a spicy finish.
