The previous Tojak cask I tried (also Benriach) received a lukewarm reception from those at the tasting event. This version is an improvement simply because it is a peated Tojak. While I won't claim peat is a universal solution, its inclusion certainly alters the dynamic. I'm not particularly fond of the thinner, more acidic, and burning sensation of peat in the aftertaste, but it does lend character. The Tojak influence is subtle, and one could mistake it for a refill bourbon without noticing the difference.
