About this bottle
Distilled on February 16, 2005, this peated single malt whisky from BenRiach was selected by master blender Rachel Barrie. It aged for 12 years, first in a second-fill bourbon barrel and then finished in a port pipe. Bottled in October 2017 at 53.6% ABV, this exclusive US release is non-chillfiltered, has no added color, and became available in February 2018.

Sweet port and smoky peat were wonderfully harmonized. It went down too easily, and sadly, I've finished the bottle. That's the worst part.
Personal winner of the evening. 2009 Port Pipe Edition.
The specific one I sampled was a 9-year-old single barrel aged in a Port pipe.
Okay. I can no longer trust that individual.
