A decent spirit. Sherry, date, pepper, oak, and fruit cake all come together. I'd rate it 3.75. It has an underlying bitter note, and like most Benriachs, I suspect it won't age well with oxidation. It truly shines when considering its price-to-value ratio. $80 USD for a 17-year-old is quite reasonable these days, but I still won't purchase a bottle.
