Shelton Glover 4.3

Signatory Ben Nevis 1991 (24Y) 57.8% Nose: A tart red berry aroma persists from afar, and a deeper sniff reveals chocolate. It has the subtle and restrained balance typical of malts aged over 20 years. The sherry is also well-restrained and balanced. Taste: Upon sipping, the berry aromas bloom like flowers, and intense sherry bursts forth like an exploding bomb, similar to a grenade. I'm curious how such powerful sherry was so well contained. It's like a blend of tropical fruits, beeswax, and perfume. Finish: The sherry spice lingers long. The spice envelops the entire mouth, and I continue to savor it with the sherry without rinsing my mouth with water. One-line review: # I had good memories of aged Ben Nevis, so this was a great purchase. # I'm curious how it will be when it opens up. # The taste of good, aged sherry.
