Nose: A light smokiness, which is somewhat surprising given the small batch production. Palate: A slight tingle on the tongue with youthful notes and a hit of char. Finish: Initially imperceptible, then just a bit of heat and sourness on the tongue. This was a newly opened bottle, and perhaps some aeration will soften the spice and reveal the sweetness. It's not smooth or sweet, but if you're seeking something with a smoky character, this will suffice. I find the initial pours to be the least enjoyable, so I will revisit this after some time, but at nearly $74, the standard would need to be higher.

This bourbon is solid. It’s classic, but for some reason, I’m not completely sold on it. It’s not bad in any way, no off-putting notes, but I just can’t shake the feeling that it’s not superior to something like a $30 WT101.
A really delicious small batch. I'm taking off a few points due to its price.
Served chilled, this bourbon is incredibly tasty and offers a subtle butterscotch note.
Pleasing, subtly smoky. Good end
