Barrel K772 | 14 years | 95.52 proof This selection from the CBRC "shopping spree." An exceptionally pleasing glass of bourbon. One of the smoothest barrel proofs (though at a lower proof) I've encountered. On the nose: A lot of cinnamon and burnt honey, with a slight stone fruit note. Palate: Similar to the nose, with the addition of some oak, banana, and a touch of pipe tobacco / vanilla sweetness. Finish: Pleasant, though brief, leaving me wanting more.

It possesses the typical traits of a single barrel bourbon. The aroma is sweet cinnamon with a hint of oak and alcohol. On the palate, it's sweet and salty, with some wood and spice. The finish is medium-long, featuring bitterness and spice with a slight burn.

14 years old Barrel G666 112.12 proof This is delightful, featuring some enjoyable Dickel minerality along with abundant gentle fruitcake spice, glazed donut, dried cherries; it's full, rich, and exceptionally well-balanced.

A store barrel selection, Barrel G673, Bottle 093, aged 14 years. Notes of toffee, raisins/dark fruit, and alcohol heat (54.8% ABV). It goes down very smoothly. Enjoyed straight, no water added.

From a specific store pick, aged 14 years, from barrel E563, at 102.76 proof. The aroma is weak, but it's an enjoyable, drinkable bourbon with a suitable amount of heat.

Normally I'd add an ice cube to my bourbon, but this is better neat. Quite good, though I'm not convinced it warrants a double gold medal.
