The background of this bottle is: Barrel company purchased 8 barrels of 95/5 rye from a closed distillery and stored them because they were so exceptional. Years later, they were brought out and offered to key customers. One barrel went to the Colorado rye and bourbon enthusiasts... Nose has some crisp apple and baking spices... similar to an apple pie. Vinegar, oak, caramel, and dill complete it. Palate is caramel apples and dill pickles with a dominant flavor of oak and baking spices. Finish is exceptionally long, dry, full of dill rye, and has the warmth of barrel proof. Best rye ever.
