Nose: apricots, green apple, spicy. Palate: earthy, very spicy, citrus. Finish: oaky, caramel, slight smoke. This exhibits the typical Ballechin character, but intensified. However, I anticipated more peat smoke and less ethanol burn, particularly given its age. With a few drops of water, the smoke becomes more prominent on the nose and palate.
