About this bottle

Ballantine’s Brasil, introduced in early 2014, is a lime-infused "spirit drink" as part of the brand's regular offerings. It carries this designation because regulations permit only water and caramel coloring to be added to Scotch. Bottled at 35% ABV, it is a blended "Scotch whisky selectively cask steeped with Brazilian lime peel." Its availability is restricted to Europe and select Global Travel Retail locations.

Let me be clear... this is not whisky; it's a spirit liquor. The reason for scoring it is simple: it's exceptionally good. I've seen this bottle numerous times in online liquor stores but had never possessed one. The very first drink I had upon arriving in Scotland was from this bottle. It's like lemonade. It smells like lemonade, tastes like lemonade, and intoxicates like whisky mixed with lemonade. There might be a touch of saltiness. I believe it deserves a score of at least 85/100, especially when compared to items like Fireball, Jim Beam Apple, and Jack Daniel's Fire, which are inferior. An amazing liquor; if it reaches Ecuador, people will be astonished by its quality. Cheers.
