Back at my favorite bar for what might be the third to last visit for an indefinite period. Weeks, months, years, who knows? My liver hasn't failed; I'm just reducing my travel to day trips instead of overnights. My projects are well under control, and there's less need for me to be physically present as much. My partner is switching contracts and increasing work hours, so I'm spending more time with the kids. As they say, what's more important than family? Whisky is the correct answer, so back to that... this is good. Best on the night due to its uniqueness, but I think I might have preferred the Ledaig 12 for all-around sipping enjoyment. Anyway, I'll let that thought fester and further splinter my sanity. Very similar to the 2017 AD, so I won't repeat notes, however, not as much sherry influence, but I think the bourbon-finished Ledaig is making its mark. Definitely a bit harsher spirit though. I'll give it a 3.75. A step down from the 4.25 of its double-aged, one-year-older sibling.
