Nose: Sweet, peaty, citrusy, with slight herbal and mineral notes. Palate: Smooth, with honey/spice, apple, brown sugar, and heavily pear-flavored, plus vanilla. Finish: Sweet peat funk, ash, caramelized brown sugar, with lingering mineral/herbal (tarragon). A really nice, chewy mouthfeel. Exceptionally well-integrated for such a young spirit. Placed third out of the six whiskies, earning 12% of the vote for favorite of the night. (83% of attendees enjoyed the whisky).
