Nose: vanilla, caramel, baked apple, floral and earthy, wood Palate: caramel, rye spice, strong oak, tobacco Finish: Lingering finish. Heavy oak. Nutty almond notes. Adding water did not enhance the nose. It significantly reduced the oak presence. The palate became sweeter with a nice rye spice still evident. The mouthfeel was creamier. The finish still had a lot of oak, but it wasn't overpowering.
