An elegant 22-year-old Allt-a-Bhainne single malt, released to honor the esteemed Whisky Squad. The label features many of the Squad's members depicted as cows, stemming from the fact that, according to That Boutique-y Whisky Company, 'Allt-á-Bhainne sounds similar to House of Pain, and it literally translates to "River of Milk".' It opens with an aromatic bouquet of milky coffee, soft fudge, pineapple rings, lemon curd, buttered toast, a touch of lavender, and roasted green peppers. Its maturation process develops into a soft and creamy character with notes of biscuits, green apple slices, cinnamon, black pepper, thick custard, and Victoria sponge cake, culminating in a delicate finish with notes of lemon curd on granary toast and toasted oak. Bottled between December 2017 and September 2022.

This one evokes memories of holidays past. Indeed, a trace from my significant Scottish distillery journey, for which I regrettably ordered two samples. It's a step down from the other. Not much happening, just a faint, ethanolic vanilla sweetness. Rated 2.25.
Someone actually brought 22-year-old scotch to this college party? Fantastic!
