Kory Schwab 4.8

This spirit is incredibly woody and complex, creating a veritable madrigal on both the palate and nose! Notes of oak, furniture polish, medicinal tones, tobacco, leather, a briny character, and much more are apparent! I was unaware Scotch could possess such intricacy, allowing for such a diverse range of flavors! Alongside the remarkable Bowmore Darkest Islay 15-year, this stands as my favorite Scotch of all time! While Speyside typically avoids peat, this and the aforementioned are sherry cask-aged—a heavenly combination!

Pierce Vaughn 3.5

Aroma: sherry, leather, gasoline Mouth: strong burn, raisin, sherry bomb, fig. Adding water enhances the sherry flavor. Finish: more fig, sherry. Quite good, rating 7/10.
