Another Aberlour A'bunadh release, this time batch 62! Remarkable how far they've come. As always, it's cask strength, representing the highlight of Aberlour's standard offerings, with minor variations between batches. This particular bottling is at 59.9% ABV and displays the classic reddish-copper hue expected from A'bunadh. The aroma presents the usual profile: apple, cinnamon, a decadent toffee/dulce de leche, and Dr. Pepper. After the first taste, I detected pleasant lemon notes. The palate is straightforward yet delightful, featuring Aberlour's signature red apples, cinnamon, and pepper. The finish is so well-executed that no harsh alcohol notes are perceptible. It includes notes of sulfur, salt, apple, cinnamon, and toffee. Overall, I find Aberlour A'bunadh to be the most consistent expression in the Aberlour lineup; it's notable because it is released in different batches. It consistently offers red apples, cinnamon, and toffee. Perhaps boring? Definitely enjoyable whisky. My rating for A'bunadh batch 62 is 88 out of 100, with 22 points in each category.
