Hmm, these Benriachs are really inconsistent. I'm not fond of their standard offerings, and many of their single cask selections are more misses than hits. However, when they do succeed, they can be astonishing. This particular one isn't one of their successes. It seems to have spent too long in oak or in a finishing cask. It's very woody and tannic with a hint of sulfur. Not very enjoyable.
