Glendronach 2003 11 Year Single Cask Pedro Ximenez

Rich, deep fruit cooked with holiday spices. Hints of coffee, chocolate, and a touch of citrus are also present. Over time, the aroma even reveals tropical fruit. The palate is sweet with dark raisins, coating the mouth, and some deeper spice. The finish is long, oaky, and drying. Each sip invites another. I purchased this when my Scotch knowledge was limited. It remains one of my biggest whisky regrets that I didn't buy the entire shelf.

Another fantastic Pedro Ximénez offering from Glendronach. The aroma is overwhelmingly sherry-forward, with dominant grape and raisin notes. The initial taste delivers a powerful sherry/chocolate/raisin impact. It mellows with subsequent sips, leaving a pleasant, aromatic finish without any alcohol burn.

Tasted single cask 1995 / 22 Years / cask 4038. Sweet nose and palate. Strong PX influence in the aftertaste. Tasted single cask 2003 / 13 Years / cask 5948. Delicate nose, sharp taste with sweetness.

Excellent with notes of toffee, caramelized sugar, chocolate, citrus, raisins, floral hints, and tropical fruits like mangoes. Cask 4121

Cask number 4008, initially sweet, with some raisins appearing later. I didn't really care for it, but it's worth a try.
