Observations from the first pour, consistently revisited as the fill level changes. This remains a stunningly beautiful whisky. The aroma exudes honeycomb, raspberry cheesecake, and crème brûlée. The palate mirrors the aroma, adding rich notes of ripe orchard fruits, vanilla cream, and subtle wood spice. The finish is medium-sweet and pleasant. The mouthfeel is rich, full, and slightly dry. This is the type of whisky that makes me regret not buying a second bottle. It was an unplanned purchase at Costco that turned out to be a fantastic surprise. While I often feel my collection is getting too large, discoveries like this encourage me to keep buying.

Wonderful. The nose has ripe fruit, spice, vanilla, honey, and a hint of the sea. Spice and fruit carry through on the palate. Adding a little water mellows the spice. The finish has lingering fruit and pepper. Less sea influence than the standard version, but who's complaining? A fantastic rendition of this spirit.
