Ingredients

1/3 oz Absinthe
2 oz Gin
1/4 oz Triple sec
1/6 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
2 dash Creole bitters

How to make

Serve in a old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 POUR absinthe into ice-filled glass.
  2. 4 TOP with chilled water and set to one side.
  3. 5 Separately, SHAKE other ingredients with ice.
  4. 6 DISCARD contents of glass (absinthe, water and ice).
  5. 7 FINE STRAIN cocktail into empty absinthe-coated glass.

Garnish

  1. 8 EXPRESS orange zest twist over cocktail and discard.
