History

Easy-drinking, low alcohol, best enjoyed as an aperitivo in warm climes. Simple yet tasty.

Any style of vermouth, whether dry, bianco, or rosso, can be mixed with soda water. However, in Spain, and especially in Catalonia, where vermouth and soda is a highly favored drink, the vermouth used is nearly always rojo, which is the Spanish term for red, rosso, or 'sweet' vermouth.
