History

This recipe was adapted from a creation by Gary "gaz" Regan, first appearing in his 2001 book, The Joy of Mixology, in February 1999. VALENTINO Though it is often said that Negroni ratios should not be altered, Mardee and this author did just that when developing this cocktail in February 1999. It is believed to be a fine illustration of how established recipes can be creatively adapted. 2 ounces gin ½ ounce Campari ½ ounce sweet vermouth 1 orange twist, for garnish STIR over ice and STRAIN into a chilled cocktail glass.
