History
A Scotch Whisky Sour made richer with blackcurrant.
Created by Brett Luttrell in April 2023, this scotch whisky-based drink is a variation on Jeffrey Morgenthaler's Bourbon Renewal. Luttrell, finding himself out of bourbon, substituted Johnny Walker Black and noted that it "Still works!" He declared, "Thus, a new drink 'round my house was born: The Urbane Restorative – a homage to the late Christopher Hitchens, whose love of 'Mr. Walker's Amber Restorative' was no secret."
