Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Old Tom gin
1 1/2 oz Manzanilla sherry
1/6 oz Maraschino liqueur
1/24 oz Gomme syrup
1 dash Absinthe
1 dash Orange bitters
3 drop Saline solution 4:1

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Method

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist expressed and discarded. Adorn with skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.
  3. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

A Tussetto is a variation of the Tuxedo, substituting sherry for vermouth. The original recipe was first published in Jacques Straub's 1913 book, Straub's Manual of Mixed Drinks.
