History
This bone dry, boozy cocktail is for those with a penchant for sherry and aquavit, and bittersweet artichoke liqueurs. Use the correct sherry, as this drink falls apart with manzanilla instead of fino.
This variation on the Negroni was conceived by Robert Hess in 2002. The name "Trident" is understood to derive from the fact that each of the three core components originates from a distinct maritime nation.
